ECFAAA Christmas Party

For the December meeting of the Euless Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association we have a Christmas Party! We invite the family, have some food, great wrapped presents and enjoy time with the Firefighters. We always get a chuckle from the 12 days of Christmas as it is sung and acted out by the different tables. There is bingo, puzzles and a raffle for the gifts. There were plenty of gifts and smiles! Thank You to the committee for the quality party - Great Job!

Flag Football with Firefighters - Known as the Border Bowl - The Bedford Fire challenges Euless Fire (Them). It was a rainy and cold day - great for football! Congratulations Euless Fire for winning the Border Bowl!

Euless Christmas Parade of Lights

Here are the pictures from the 16th Annual Euless Christmas Parade of Lights. The ECFAAA float was number 3 of 132 entries - up front. Also pictures of the Reserve Fire Engine from Station 3.

Thanksgiving at the Fire House

Thanksgiving at the Fire House! Thank You to all who cooked and baked a little extra to provide for the on shift Firefighters. They very much appreciated the home cooked turkey dinner.

Christmas Parade Float ~ under construction.

Here is our 2009 Euless Christmas Parade of Lights entry. This years theme is "A Star Spangled Christmas", we have plenty of stars and plenty of blinking lights. Look for us December 5th on Midway. And look here for pictures of the completed entry.

EFFA Golf Tournament.

The Euless Firefighter Association asked the CFA to help with their charity golf tournament - and we were glad to assist! As you can see the line of golfers paraded down our line of tickets and goodies - starting with check-in and ending with the official polo shirt. Once the tournament started our role was to monitor the holes that had extra activities on them.

Open House at Fire Station #3

Open House 2009! Euless Fire opened the bay doors and showed off their equipment and Firefighters! Hot dogs and drinks were served by our CFA, there was even a fundraiser bake sale - goodies baked by firefighters and citizens. Come check out the next one in October of 2010.

Kroger Fundraiser

The ECFAAA is APPROVED! We are approved to participate in the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program. All that is needed from you is take this form to your local Kroger and have them scan it along with your Kroger Card to link the two together. That is it! Once that is linked, based on our participation, the ECFAAA will get a portion of one million dollars that is portioned out to the program participants of TX and LA.

I did check and you will continue to get your Fuel savings with the Kroger Card.

1st Annual Dinner with the Fire Guys

We had a Spectacular turn out of CFA Grads and Alumni, the guys had a blast visiting and mingling with all in attendance. ~ and the food was "out of this world" good! We started arriving at 2:30pm to prepare and cook - dinner was served at 6:30pm... we cleaned and departed about 7:45ish. It was a really great evening!

Arbor Daze 2009

Get your cold soda here! Arbor Daze was a success, our largest fundraiser, and we couldn't of done it with out you - our members. Here are some fun pics, if you missed it - I hope you can make it next year! A special Thank You to the volunteers at the Coke booth, Information Table, Fun Walk and also to Sue Kosec for designing and donating the Fire Station to raffle.

Texas Trash Off 2009

It was a sunny day for the 2009 Texas Trash Off! The CFA cleaned the City Hall complex and surrounding area. Then finished off at Incredible Pizza - the event sponsor.

Welcoming a Soldier Home to Euless

It started as a request to the Mayor for an official Certificate of Recognition. Euless could do better and we did, at the request of City Manager Gary McKamie. Our Quint & Medic 551 was in attendance, Fire Admin was there, as well as several CFA folks. Presentation from our Mayor as well as a presentation from Congressman Marchant was the highlight.
